Miriam Twomey
CCL Course Coordinator
University College Cork, Cork
Miriam originally trained as a post-primary teacher, but her teaching experience spans all age groups. She has experience working with students from Early Intervention to third level education. Her experience has included working in Europe and the U.S. and included working with refugee students from East African and Asian wars, developing courses on literacy, social and life skills. Miriam has designed and worked on inclusive and integrated projects including children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger Syndrome, and ADHD, as well as children with multiple and complex needs. Her work with these students inspired an interest in research and Miriam graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an M.Litt in the area of Inclusion and Early Intervention.
